One Week Friends is a touching tale of persevering friendship. High schooler Yūki Hase has always noticed that his classmate Kaori Fujimiya is alone all the time and seems to have no friends of her own. Moved at her loneliness he offers to become her friend. He is surprised to hear her tell him that every Monday the very existence of all her friends disappear from memory. Although he now realises and understands why she is always lonely, he is determined nevertheless to always be her friend, wishing that one day she will finally call him ‘friend.’
With the manga (Isshūkan Friends) being very moving, I would expect that the anime too would be quite good too. The animation, judging from recently released promotional videos, is pleasing to the eye and actually pretty good. Obviously this anime is not to everyone’s taste but I for one will give it a go. The producer of this anime is Brains Base. Release date for One Week friends is the 6th of April 2014. Can’t wait until then!
~Notice: This is a preview of the anime. The official review of One Week Friends will be published at a later date.
